21 Aujourd'hui

My son's first serious girlfriend turned 21 today. We have known her since she was about 14 and have watched her grow into a woman. She is a language student at Durham studying French and Spanish. She is working in Spain at the moment, and will be celebrating her birthday there. She spent her Summer in France as this is her main language. I decided to make her a French themed card, hence the greeting in French! The stamp is from Lili of the Valley and I am entering this in Lili of the Valley's monthly challenge - Pretty Papers.

All you need in life is a friend with chocolate

I have a friend in trouble. She's been a good friend to me and now it is my turn. I am sending her this card to remind her she is not alone and chocolate can make things a little better. I coloured the image with promarkers, used paper from my stash for this card, die cut the banner on card and stapled the ribbon to the bottom. The stars are brads from my collection. I am entering this into the Digistamp Boutique - September competition and the Promarkers challenge Visible image.

Logical boy

This is one of my favourite stamps for a boy! I used it once before for my son's birthday. He is a clever chap, studying Philosophy at university. The papers on this one came from my stash - I coloured the image with Promarkers, cut the word 'Logical' off a 6x6 sheet and teamed it with the check paper, added the sentiment and a large button and it was all done. I am really pleased with how it turned out. I am entering it into the digistamp boutique monthly competition - September competition and the Promarkers competition Visible image.

My second niece needs a card too!

My second Christmas card came straight after my first. That is the joy of having two nieces. This one is for Alice and uses another beautiful Lili of the Valley stamp along with a new paper pad called 'Festive trimmings'. I just love the green stars and I hope Alice will too. I am also entering this into the Lili of the Valley competition Pretty papers

Christmas cards have begun

I made my first Christmas card last week. It's later than last year as this year I didn't have an appendicitis keeping me off work like I did last Summer!
I have chosen this beautiful stamp from Lili of the Valley and used one of their new paper pads 'Snow Princess' to make my niece Emily a card. I love this image and the papers are beautiful.
I am entering it in Lili of the Valley's monthly competition - Pretty Papers

Mr DIY

My friend Claire has a lovely husband who turned 39 this week. He has a PHD in Maths and we affectionately call him "The Dr". He is also a busy, busy man and having bought a new house last year he has been incredibly busy working on it to make it just right for his family. This means that a DIY card was perfect for him - this image came from The Digistamp Boutique and I have entered it into their monthly competition - Digistamp Boutique Monthly Competition

A brother's birthday

It's my brother's birthday this month so he needed a card from my children. He's not really a runner, he's more of a cyclist but he does go to the gym. We used Alf from the digistamp boutique and are entering it in the May competition. May competition
